In my casual perusing of aftermarket exhausts for the 240SX (S13), I'm noticing pretty much all of them have a 4.5" tip! Is there anything more subtle than this?

Basically, I want a muffler that looks stock, but flows as much as possible. Quiet is a big plus, too. The HKS sport exhaust on my MkIII Supra was perfect in this respect. A simple dual tip muffler, and quiet at idle and cruising speeds.

Can I get something like this for my SR?

RS-R Exmag. Low profile looking. 80mm piping.

BRM! looks stock, quiet at idle and normal driving, and mean at WOT! looks stock, uses all stock hangers and has a single pipe dual tip available.

Got a link? Google turns up nothing.

Regarding ExMag, looks pretty good. All ceramic coated = heavy, right? Anyway that's definitely the cleanest I've seen so far...

is it ceramic coated? i thought it was just paint. either way, it seems heavy. someone wrote a review saying it hangs low. i kinda agree. i think the outer diameter of the tip is alittle over 3.5 inches. btw, its alittle louder than an Apexi N1 with a silencer.

Isnt the HKS sport exhaust made for non turbo vehicles?

i have the dual-tip 2.5" brm cat back, and im very pleased, it took me a few days to get used to the little extra noise, but now its barely noticeable, and a nice gain in my top end, i dont have any proof of that as i havent run the 1/4 since installation.

Thanks for the pic, that exhaust looks pretty sweet!

Here's a link to the exhaust I had on my Supra, as you can see, it's very subtle and yes it's a turbo application:http://www.suprasport.com/prod...id=44

Nikeboy355 on fresh alloy wrote the stock wrx muffler is a good comprimise between stock and aftermarket for a s13. I suppose the oem wrx sti muffler is an even better alternative. of course it'll have to be a custom install/piping.
