Hi, I'm new to the skyline world so this question might seem noobish to some. Anyways, can I fit an aftermarket catback exahust to the stock catalytic converter? Is there an adapter needed, or welding involved?

I can't speak to ebay specials, but mufflers from the Japanese manufacturers are designed to terminate where the cat would be. At that point you can mount the original cat, a straight pipe or a high flow aftermarket cat. No adapters or welding required.

Would deleting the cat, with a decat, throw up a check engine light code?

My GTR has essentially a straight to muffler exhaust, decatted. No check engine light. Great sound, bit raspy at mid range. Otherwise its glorious.

Are you running a specific brand?

My car came with an HKS exhaust and a generic cat delete pipe. The sensor for the OEM cat had been unplugged already and stashed underneath the carpet. No check engine lights. I'm replacing the HKS with a Tomei Expreme Ti but keeping the original cat delete pipe.

Gonna sell that HKS? lol. Anywho, is there anything special that is needed to unplug it (besides unplugging it) without getting any error codes or will it just disregard it? Which that sounds kinda weird to me.

If the GTS-4 is like the GT-R then you should be able to unplug the sensor from the cat and be done. Mine was removed from the cat but left attached to the module on the floorpan to avoid errors I assume - and it worked fine.

And yes I'll be selling the HKS - for cheap too since it's fine but needs some cleaning up. I'll be posting a list of parts I'm selling on my blog pretty soon.

I've was searching high flow cats (I used google.co.uk lol) and found a cat that accepts 76.2mm that I'm probably going to go with. I'll check out your blog for the price. It's that link in your sig right?

The link in my sig will take you to my blog but I haven't posted the parts for sale yet. I'm hoping to get a chance to do it this weekend though.
