cat back? axle back? wots the diff?

so whats the difference between the axle back exhaust and the cat back exhaust which has more power/sounds better?

Cat-back is a replacement exhaust system from the catalytic convertor/convertors to the exhaust tips. Axle-back is from the rear axle to the exhaust tips. Cat-back is more expensive and equates in a free-flowing exhaust.
