I just changed the oil in my mom's 2008 Altima 2.5L. The engine has about 110K and looking under the oil cap there is minimal varnish and no sludge. I have been putting Mobil One 5W30 for some time now. So I tried Castrol Syntec Edge Titanium and first of all the oil looks like milkshake and diarrhea. It even looks like it has water in it. I was kind of shocked, but I did put it in. The engine seemed to run very smooth, but I don't know if it is just because there was a new oil change.

Also I got a Bosch D3300 oil filter and IT DID NOT FIT! It was the oil filter listed in the book. Not happy about that at all. And yes I tried it every which way. It would not screw in no matter what I tried.
