Cast Piston Ring Seats?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I've done some searching on the site and on google. i have had a few postings come up with some mention of the seats being weak or the cause of blow by on some motors. Is this due to a bad cast design or just a general maintance issue? thanks

Its the pistons themselves. The rods are also weak. Everything else rocks.
