What's up guys. So I checked my timing, it was 32* btdc. Really high.

All I could find on specs is for a tt, 15*btdc.

Set my timing to 15*btdc.
Adjusted idle and tps to 4.0 with wide open throttle.
Car felt like it had no power, felt really retarded.
Rough idle

Adjusted timing a little higher. 22*btdc exactly.
To get a good idle about 800 rpm, smooth, the tps reading
Shows 3.25v at wide open.
If I adjust up too 4v wide open the idle is 1500 and will not
Adjust any lower with iacv

So as it sits right now I am 22*btdc, with tps reading 3.25 wide open
And an 800 rpm idle. Nice idle, nice acceleration. Seems to be great.

Im going to leave it as is unless anyone has any input on this.

What are you other N/A's set at?

I also have deleted egr, aiv, carbon canister.

No sir 15 is a must! Your timing belt is either off a tooth or stretched and needs to be changed. Also idles speed can be adjusted once everything is set right with the little screw on the iac....

I just changed the timing belt, as well as bearings because one was squeaking,I did not Change the tensioner, I have done many timing belts, an I am possitive I am not a tooth off, turned the motor by hand at least 10 times and the marks were lined up every time. made sure it was dead on before putting it all back together.

15*btdc, engine pulses while accelerating, idles rough, adjusting at screw on iac raises and lowers the s*** idle.

I did several test drives after adjusting timing and tps an idle, advancing it 2* each run.

At 21* right now and have the smoothest idle, whether I baby it, drive mild, or hammer the s*** out of it, it accelerates just as smooth and sounds beautiful and actually goes.

Also inspected my plugs after each little drive and it is getting a clean burn .

So no offense mrmoose but I do not believe that 15* is spec for an N/A, but I could be wrong.

Edit** I did find the sticker Under the hood, and it does say ignition timing 15*

My thoughts now are that since I have done the egr delete and aiv delete would
Be the cause of the roughness.....

Pulled My Upper intake to check all my connectors and hoses and came across this, it's the knock sensor. It was wrapped in electrical tape

mrmoose is on the right track, set everything the way it's supposed to be, then set the idle. Definitely replace that knock sensor harness.
