I am trying to log the CAS signal so the Megasquirt guys can develop code to allow us to use the stock cas with megasquirt. So, I'll let you all know whats up when it's done.

when I spin the cas with a hand drill to log it, wouldn't I want to spin it counter clockwise? can someone verify this? I just need to make sure so he gets the right numbers

Looking at the CAS from the front of the engine, it spins clockwise. If you are looking at it from the spline end that goes into the exhaust cam then counter clockwise.

the stock nissan eccs has 2 of the 3 cpus inside of it dedicated to the decoding and prediction of the cas signal...
i HIGHLY doubt the MS guys will be able to accurately control it.
a ford style 36-1 wheel can be had and installed in the cas.

A computer from the early 90's has 2 or 3 processors in it just for decoding 2 wheels? I call shenanigans.

I will Definitely let you know as soon as it's working.

1 wheel, 360 1* slits, with backup triggers for the 0* and 180* triggers.
its well documented in the eccs patent...
