CAS issue????

Ive had the car for 3 weeks all was well until yesterday, started up and drove off and I couldnt drive past 1st gear, major chugging and hesitation, afr blows past 17.6 super lean. Weird thing is I shift into second immediately and all is well, 2-5 gear drives just fine, afrs at idle are steady at 13.5-14.0 wot afrs are at 11.3 crusing afrs are at 14.3-7. No clue on what is going on!?

Theres no maf sensor cause I have speed density The guy in got it from said the car never saw cold weather

Assuming this is an SR20DET?? Sounds like you may have a leak somewhere, or your tune is funky for winter. May need to get a dyno tune to figure out what's going on with it. What ECU/Tune, setup (turbo, Injectors, etc.) are you running?? Usually cars during the winter tend to lean out some.

Yeah a sr20det. A leak big enough to cause that in 1st gear but not in any other gear? My boost is fine while in wot in all gears. Like I said the afrs are where it should be on idle, crusing, and wot.

I cant figure out why therea severe bogging down and hesitation in just 1st gear.

Is your fuel past the 1/4 tank mark?? I'd double check your timing, fuel pressure and any traces of oil in the intake/IC.

If my timing was off how would that effect the motor and would ot effect the other gears and higher rpms? And if it is off why only 1st gear in low rpms?

That would be a standard thing to check first before moving on to other areas.

Could be a bad TPS or Temp Sensor. May need to unplug them and see how the car runs. Try moving your coilpacks one at a time to see if that makes a difference. Check your spark plugs as well.

One other thing is to check the sock on the fuel pump and rust/debris in the tank.
