I'm throwing error 11 and 12. one of them is CAS error. IF it's bad, I need to get a new one, is there a replacement in the US I can get?

you could give marco vargas a call. He's got tons of parts in stock and pretty damn good prices. It only took 3 days for me to get a HICAS PS pump from him and they're pretty hard to find. He's at http://www.sr20store.com

Might I suggest you just go to diagnostic mode, that shows the thrown code. Unplug the CAS then plug it again. Then turn the ECU back to regular mode and try to start up the car. Chances are if the car is even running then the CAS is mechanically sound.

11= CAS12= MAFS

Do the same procedure with the MAFS. Unplug and plug. But before you do that, look at ALL the wiring to and from the MAFS, you may have lost your ground wire.

Yea, that's why I said IF. I'm thinking it's more MAF related since that was the other code. Those are much cheaper to replace too since an 89-90 240sx MAF is the same. I was going to go home and check the resistance and what not that the SFM suggests and take it from there.

i know this is an old thread, but im havin pretty much the same problem. heres what happened. i was driving the car, shifted from 2nd to 3rd and the car shut off. the car threw code 11 and 12. i let it sit for 20 min or so and then it started back up. i got to my house and i was pullin in the driveway and it shut off again. same thing code 11 and 12. so i let it sit for a few days. now its only throwing code 11. cam sensor right? so i took the cas out and hooked it to a friends sr, spun the gear and the injectors fired. hooked it back up to my harness spun the gear and my injectors fired. so i hooked up the power fc and went to the diagnostic screen and it said there was a problem with the cas and ECC. now what the hell is the ecc?

your ecu might be taking a ****. Try unplugging the ECU and repluging it and make sure you tighten the nut on the ecu plug all the way. Me ECU was bad and it gave me a code 11 and the car wouldnt run. Changed the ECU and it worked fine, just a suggestion.

I had a coolant leak so small that I didn't notice at first. When I did finally notice it, the coolant was shooting at the maf and cam sensor causing a MAF malfunction throwing a code 12.
