Does anyone know where i can get one of these cheap? The only price i can find it $150 for a bearing. Is it better to just save $100 more and get the straight driveshaft

Does the front half or the driveshaft from an automatic 2+2 fit the front half of the driveshaft of a N/A 2 seater?

I would spend the money and buy a 1 piece. Not very long ago my brother replaced the center bearing on his N/A. It had a real slight vibration at about 45 mph, so he thought he'd change it. Bought the bearing and we installed it. Everything was clocked as it was before, and once the new bearing was installed, it vibrated like a bent drive shaft. After inspecting the u-joints, they were a bit lumpy when they were moved by hand, as if they wore in as the shaft on these cars does not go up and down due to the rear axle has a fixed carrier. No other real explanation. When I had my DS off earlier this year it felt a bit the same, but it doesn't vibrate at all.So, after all that, he takes the shaft in, gets new u-joints installed and both shafts balanced at a drive line shop. Totally undriveable now due to vibrations, so a 1 piece will go in. Even the reputable drive line shop has no idea what's wrong. Completely balanced shaft assemblies, new center bearing. Several hundred dollars of wasted money.

I just swapped out to a one-piece about two weeks ago. my carrier bearing was trashed as well. i figured why not eliminate the need for a carrier bearing all together...

Yeah thats what i figured too, since the stupid piece is alreay $150.

but do you know if the front half of a driveshaft from an automatic will work. The carrier bearing on it is good and i would just swap the front part of it. might as well use what i have instead of buying anything right? im not wasting anymoney this way. Just time and labor.

I'm pretty sure the front yoke is different size/spline so I doubt it
