Im guessing you can try it and it mite work... its worth a try i mean the cables are only $5fiveliterbeater wrote:so just to be clear, you only did the above because you didnt have RCA plugs from the factory.
however if you r in my situation, where i do have RCA in, do i just hook the phone straight to the car with that cable?
Yes. With the early 5th gen ipods (not touch) there was support for a 3.5mm phone to RCA cable (any old cable). Apple quickly locked it down and now requires an adapter that uses the actual ipod connector, not the headphone jack and is much pricier.rocastro71 wrote:I have the RCA jack on the back and if I remember someone here in the forum said that you can stream video to the nav screen only if you use the apple AV composite video cable and not some imitation one.
You dont need an extra phone line to use it.. you already have tmobile so just use yours.. i mean that up to you!.. what phone are you using now?fiveliterbeater wrote:gotcha. i guess im sold on the nokia then.
now what about a service plan? i already have Tmobile. do i just get an extra phone line with an xtra cheap phone? and then take the chip from the back of that phone and put it in the nokia?
well im torn between these two phones.nadzak wrote:
fiveliterbeater, are you going for it?
Yes, the Nokia N-Series can be used with any provider that uses simcard. (tmobile, at&t, Rogers, etc..) Another thing you need to know that you cant buy nokia n95 series with a contract! they are unlocked phones that are sold seperately and they are bit of $$ lol..fiveliterbeater wrote:
to Ninos: if you wanted to activate your Nokia, you can just go to Tmobile or At&t for service right? basically any service provider that uses a SIM card for their phones correct?
Cool let us know what happensnadzak wrote:I think I am going to try the Iphone and see what happens...
I wish I had been here for that. The original build was pretty impressive.RipplingHurst wrote: So, as I said before I sold the M35 already, the innards are now in my family room in another case I build with my 5 year old daughter - yes, she painted the HD and lots of stuff inside (after I taped everything I should of course):
