Carpet Installation 1992 240SX

Anyone have any ideas on best way to install new carpet in 1992 240SX SE coupe? It looks like I have to take the dash out. If so, any ideas on how to get the dash off?

The carpet lays with the dash support through it. The is no way to put the replacement in or remove the old without either cutting the carpet or removing the dash.

I had to cut mine, if you do it right, its not visible, just cut one side, i reccommend a razor blade, its quick. other than that, you only have to pull the seats, door sills, center console and shift boot. Not a hard job, just takes some time. Dont wash your carpet in a machine or anything- it will get warped, just spray it down and soap it up, and let the sun dry it. Also, be careful with the Auto seat belt controller box thingy. Its under the center console. You have to take it out. I dropped mine and my seatbelts have been schizophrenic ever since.

yeah when i replaced my interior when i bought the car(it was rotting literally) i had to cut the part of the carpet that went under the dash so i could get it all jammed up there
