alright, first off, the RIT dyes that are sold everywhere (wal-mart- grocery store etc) don't hold up very well to sunlight. If you dye your seats, or anything else, they can get a kinda purple look to them, and after time it doesn't get better. Second, the ONLY way to get it to actually work is with very hot water. Shooting boiling hot dye out of a spray bottle, or gun will cool it off too much to do anything in my experience. If you still want to try this out, the seat material comes off the back seat foam/steel support very easily. All you have to do is clip the metal wires that hold it to the support with a pair of dikes, these can be replaced with small zip ties when you put it back on. After you have it off you should be able to throw it into your washing machine, on the hottest setting with a bunch of dye. This will give you the best results that you can get, I would use more dye than the call for, its cheap as hell. This doesn't hurt your washing machine, I was worried it would leave a mess. It cleans out fine after you run another wash cycle.
