Well my carpet is looking pretty tatterred, dirty etc. I was thinking of replacing it. I also was thinking of doing some sound deadning under there so I would need to remove it anyways.

Is it easy to remove the stuff or atleast get a lot of access to underneath. I get that the seats have to come out, is that very involved? Like with wiring/ air ducts under seat, air bags sensors even possibly?

Has anyone tackled this job on a 01+ qx4 before?

Thanks

before you remove your seats disconnect your battery to ensure you do not blow any airbags, or dont diconnect the yellow connectors and work around the seat which could be difficult

I have only pulled the carpet out of the trunk but i did it so i could replace it with a cutout to display my amp.

i found this very easy but the rest of the car might be a challenge especially if your going to be cutting a new one. use the old carpet as a template

Well Ive been under the rear carpet aswell for sound deadning. i just know removing the seats, center console etc is much more involved.

SO thats all thats need to not set the air bags off is just disconnect the battery? Thats no big deal if that it.

I wanna sound deaden my floor is why I wanna do this. but replacing the carpet, would be a big plus, I would never try and put my own carpet in, I would defientely stick to an OEM moulded carpet

I disconnected the battery and removed those clips and the airbag didnt deploy so it should be the same for you. Im not 100% its your call.

The 2 front seats are just 4 bolts on each i take them out when i clean the truck.

Seats come out pretty easy, like slick said just disconnect the battery, and make sure its freakin disconnected. The 4 bolts are obviously on each corner of each seat, helps if you fold the seats up first to get them out easier

THe center console is a bit of a pain in the arse, but once you pop off the top covers, its pretty self explanatory

Can I ask what your using as a sound deadner? If your going with an aluminum backed product, please stya away from anything that is not butyl backed.

raamaudio is having a HUGE sale if you already dont know about it

Id love to know where to get a complete replacement moulded carpet aswell!!
