Hi! This is Alisha-- I'm posting this thread for people who DO NOT want to read long "whoring" posts to find out if there is a meet... THIS THREAD IS SIMPLY INFORMATIONAL IF YOU WANNA CHAT WES HAS STARTED UP A CHAT AT THIS LINK ->zerothread?id=142143

We are currently trying to find the best time to meet- it is starting to get cold around here so we are trying to decide to have in the winter time OR wait until spring. this IS WHERE I NEED YALL TO POST AN OPINION WINTER OR SPRING?? I have contacted a local dyno in Pickens, they will come to our meet w/ their mobil dyno DEPENDING ON WHERE IT IS. If they decide to charge one lump sum we will divide it between members who will be at the meet. If they decide to charge by person- then each person who dynos will pay. get it? lol...

ALSO-> where is the best place for YOU to meet? we may not be able to arrange it in your local area but we will try... if we cannot do it this time we could for the next meet. I would like to plan a meet once every other month or s/t... So where is best for you??Greenville/Spartenburg??Columbia??Myrtle Beach??

my name is Wes and i live in Greenville. but i really wouldnt wanna drive futher than columbia for a meet. i would prefer the greenville/spartanburg area. it seems more ppl live up here anyways. well thats my 2cents.

how come you two are the self proclaimed meet organizers. it should be a group decision as to when and where this meet should be, but whatever. if there is actually going to be a meet then either greenville or columbia (assuming it would be on a weekend) would work for me. we really need to start tagging though and getting more people in here or together. somebody should really send in for some cards and stuff. theres a few people ive seen around here that should be in on this.

haha, chill out, im not trying to **** everything up. im just stating my opinion, i dont really care what you want to do. but if you wanna be technical i was right after wes in joining in to talk about the meet, i posted 5 days after him. as soon as i found out about the thread.

Hey Alisha...come back!!

Anyway, the reason she and Wes are organizing it, is because you HAVE to have somebody organize a meet. They don't just happen without a leader. Who do you think set up NOPI for us? Hell, me and Greg (plus many others) put more time than you can imagine into it. If we just said "everyone make this work," it would have never happened.

Anyway, I think we desperatly *need* somebody like Alisha that is willing to head up local meets. This is how to grow a local scene into something huge. Fred did this in Louisville a few years back, and now look how many people we have there. Just check our Frapper map and see. We have TONS of people in the KY/IN area, and it's almost all due to Fred.

It would be great to get the same type of thing going in the SC/NC/GA area, and with the enthusiasm that she brings to NICO, it is an EXCELLENT start.

Now, onto the subject at hand...

I vote Greenville, simply because I live in GA and Greenville is the closest location that anyone has mentioned so far. I will most likely come out to a big Greenville meet, but Myrtle Beach is a bit far. So is Charleston, and even Columbia.

Back in the day, I used to go to the Louisville and Bowling Green meets all the time. I figured a 4-5 hour drive was well worth it to help promote club participation. I'm willing to do the same again in SC, but I most definitly need a local to get it going....So Alisha, I hope you don't leave us permenantly

yeah.. apparently so did i.. and the wes in greenville isnt the originator wes, thats me.. and i dont live in greenville unfortunately. i live in RH and there arent many rock hill NICO nauts.

Hey Alisha, to get a good idea of how to set up a meet, visit the Central Region forum. Like I mentioned before, Fred had built up that region VERY strongly, and they continue to have large meets. There is actually a big meet there tomm, and there is a thread in that forum. Take a look at it, get some ideas. Like I said, I'll help you as much as I can, just give me a call if you have any questions!

1. i want these threads to be DELETED n start a new one. i dont wanna see n00bs seeing the whole sc club FIGHTING over NONSCENSE2. i dont want useless posts like "i'm bored" OR "woot page 21" -i'm guitly i know3. NO FREAKIN FIGHTING ON THREADS! THATS WHAT EMAIL/IM IS FOR IF YA WANNA E*FIGHT& finally damn it cant we all just get along and stop whining!! lets quit talking about stupid stuff and talk about cars!!! thats all thats on my mind at this moment!!
