Guys... autocross is awesome... on my 245/35/20s with the eibachs and stillen RSB... I was nervous at my first run, i thought i was going to hit cones... i drove i in D and got 1m13s.... Then i gave it a go swapping btwn 1st n 2nd gear and got a 1m9s... then i left it in 2nd the whole time and got a 1m7s my best time.

I pushed it as hard as i could thru the slolams (spelling) and the response of the car was amazing. At the ends of the track it was a U and i tried to gass it around the corner and swing my arse around the corner but it was hard to make the tires lose traction in the back safely because the track was small...

NO RUBS, NO NOTHIN! Not a mark on my car at all... We did see several bumpers fly off, a tire pop, 2 cars hitting a fence (my fear at the corners), greg (nico owner) whipping a corvette (with a nico windshield decal) around the track... I met a lot of the nico team... and everyone was super friendly...

The holiday inn in mechanicsburg, well its a coyote ugly themed bar (ohh yeah) that has live music every fri-sat... and had oil wrestling... milf oil wrestling (kinda.. well... i knew i wasnt in NY)... A great time none the less...

Let the pics begin... (ill be posting more later on of the drifting)

As long as you know what you're doing. It's much tougher than doing it in a RWD though.

yeah... its possible... As far as drifting is concerned.. there was a lexus IS that took the cake IMHO... we all had to wear helmets... and completley empty the car for tech inspection (floormats even had to go).... The only thing that could have made it easier would have been a racing seat with a 4pt harness... i was suprised how well li was able to cut thru the cones, but i was floppin around in my seat (im skinny, the seats are made for a wider person lol)...

Im glad you guys like the pics... tyler got some good ones too (from the center of the track)...

yea those are some cool pics...i wish i could have gone!...

how do u force a slide when ur pulling through it?..its just the physics of the whole thing that puzzles me....see drifting to me i thought was a series of forced and controlled sliding...if the source of ur control (steering) and the power of the force (drive wheels) are the same....

sorry im too analytical today!

I have a quick and important question Longbeach Coupe. Are your wheels a +35 offset? Or are they a higher offset? And there is absolutly no rubbing in daily driving

Dont jack the thread to talk about wheels please.. theres tons of threads on them.. including "LONG BEACH COUPES WHEEL THREAD" so you have plenty to look at... And on the rubbing... the beginning of this thread clearly states that i didnt rub while pushing my car thru autocross... so why would daily driving cause rubs? READ dom... READ! and SEARCH... not in the google bar, but in the bright blinking search button on top... back to the pics...

Ill upload the videos at the bar tonight... for $10... i sent my friend up on the bar to take lashings from a bartender... and the milf oil wrestling... delicious lol...

my best time was 1.07 (at that time shift_coupe was at 1.06) later he got 1.03 i think... I never did autocross before, so idk how much of a difference it would be with smaller wheels... i def had a blast... i was super nervous i was gonna hit cones but after the first time i went thru going half speed... i was comfortable gunning it thru without hitting a damn thing!

Thats whats up man, was using manual mode around the track a lot of fun. I doubt that much of a difference with smaller wheels.

If the car is an auto its ideal to just leave it in 2nd because that is usually the only gear you need around the course.

I tapped a few cones cause I pushed it a bit more. With some better tires you can shave off more time easily. Even lowering the pressure in the tires will help.

I've been addicting to autocrossing for 2 yrs now. This weekend I'll be running the coupe for the first time, now that the mods are done, minus the front end links.

Your car was set up really nice and well balanced, and I enjoyed driving it. Get some stickier tires and it will be a lot faster.
