That reminds me, did I read somewhere helmet requirements have changed? Or did I make that up? Because Polish...

Motorcycle helmets are also acceptable, but they must have a Snell rating of M2005 or newer. We will also accept helmets with a BSI safety rating of 6658 Type A. As of January 1st, 2012, SA2000 and M2000 helmets have become expired and will not be allowed. Note, helmets with just an SAE/DOT rating are not acceptable. Please make sure you check your helmet to make sure they not only have a Snell or BSI sticker but that has a current one. If there is no valid Snell or BSI sticker, that helmet cannot be used. No exceptions. Bicycle helmets are also not acceptable. It is okay to share helmets, but please be forewarned, no one will be permitted on that track without wearing an approved helmet. Please advise during tech/registration if he or she is sharing helmets. If people are sharing helmets, the helmet only needs to be tech'ed once.
I can bring a few helmets again this year (full face motorcycle helmets), i didn't track last year but nam (soxypoo) took out my helmet when he went on the ride along with LBC around the track so i'm guessing its meets requirementsDJBeasy wrote:EZcheese15 wrote:There will be no rental helmets available, so participants must supply their own SA2005 (or newer) Snell rated helmets (no cracks). haha you got me! Yea no problems at all with the install. A little splicing cuz I had HID before, and I forgot to ajust them before I put everything back to gether and had to rip it all apart again yesterday to aim the lights. They are almost perfectly level now, but the passenger projector is just slightly to the left. I tried the hot screwdriver method but heated it up too much and now just have a hole, so I have to take that one back out and click it a couple of notches to be perfect. And holy crap the halo's are bright. This morning(still dark @ 6:15am) when I started the car to take the munchkin to school i kicked them on while it was still dark and it lights up the yard and the side of the house(25ft away) and casts shadows. I have heard about some other halos from ebey and people were saying they were dim. These are clearly visable in the day. In the pic the camera is almost pointed at the sun comming over the trees, and i posted a pic with the sized reduced by like 60% and its a narrow side view of the car, with the car was about 20ft away, and you can clearly see them.DJBeasy wrote:I see halos! Guess you got it all installed OK?
