^ I hope Im still able to get some decent photos with the new track layout. I got quite a bit of rolling practice at Formula Drift, should make for some much better shots and sigs.

What is this new track layout you speak of? That ol figure 8 of quasi-acceptable blacktop has been the same for the past 5 years!

I missed this up until now, that setup looks awesome, the only thing i dont like is that if you are in the "staging line" you cant see the track and watch whats going on, it will allow for a faster exit and a "grass free" ride!

Yeah, I guess we didn't think about that when staging. Oh well. But your points about a faster exit and grass free were a couple of the major reasons we went with this setup for this year.

Yeah that's true. The grandstand area will be a shot from above. You got some nice ones from last year( like the sequence I photoshopped for my sig) When photographing moving cars I love to slow the shutter speed down and pan with the car, the wheels and background blur and help show that the car is in motion. I remember showing Pete how to do that last year. BTW I have a 2nd set of wheels with some ventus v12s I plan on wearing down at Carlisle. :)

Are we with the rest of the crowd in reference to the viewing area now?
Though we haven't had an incident, probably best for safety.

I hope we arent limited to the upper bleacher area. Gets packed up there, and photos from that far will be subpar at best. Perhaps NICO members could have some VIP lower track access? :naughty:

Theres always photographers on the slope of the Hill down there and there will need to be people working corners as always. If you have the chutzpah you can stand in the track to take pics if you have a spotter with you as well (from prior experiences)

I can't commit to it, if im not driving or working corners (everyone should work at so. E point) I like to be able to take a walk around the grounds, there will be someone who will spot for you though.

Beazy that is a good recap, I almost forgot about it... Wdracing is a really funny guy (staffer) who I got to know over the past 5 yrs and it was funny to meet him in person... I wonder what (if any) newbies will come out this year, sometimes its the "friends" that wind up being the life of the party (Big D, Turtle, Zack etc)

Zack cant stop talking about the "Action Box" for the dice games
