the bottom of you sig suggests you know a thing or two aout chipping a rb20det ecu here is the story i got a new pocket romulator and decided to chip my ecu. i am a noob at de soldering so i clipped all the pins off the stock rom and detached it the removed the pins on at a time with solder wick. Then i installed the socket but only soldered the pins from the bottom. upon installing the xtronics pocket romulator the light on the back of the ecu was blinking indicating bad address or rom (checksum i think). so in a moment of "brightness" i installed it the other way pin one facing towards the case and proceded to let the smoke out of the ecu. so i bought another one and my car now runs again. does anyone have a proper stock map i can load in the romulator? I tried about 5-7 before burning up my ecu and all of them had a blinking light.

also do you reccomend any professional places i can send my new ECU to get it zif socketed

Chipping an ECU or even reflashing a ROM chip when you don't know what you're really doing is a recipe for disaster.
