I bought one of these from eBay about a month ago simply to hide what was in the back of my truck. I am a Realtor and I have all kinds of crap in the rear cargo area. One thing that my sedan had over my QX4 was that no one saw the inside of the trunk other than the people that woke up.
There have been a couple of really nice surprises after buying it. Firstly, the stuff I carry is tools, tape measures, signs, etc., and it all rattles. The cover actually quiets it down to the point that you barely hear it. Secondly, the cover makes it a lot easier to see out the back window when the sun is shining in. The reflection of the smooth surface of the cover is much easier to see through than the reflection of a bunch of shiny, jumbled up junk.
If you considering one, buy it. I paid $49 plus $15 for shipping on a Buy It Now. The listing said it was for a 2001-2004, but it fits my 99 perfectly. If you watch vigilantly, you'll find one without spending hundreds.

You buy the truck used and who knows where the thing ends up. The one thing I don't like is that they are really in the way when you don't need them. I bought a 2000 QX4 and took the cargo cover out. It floated around in my garage for a while. I traded the 2000 in on a 2001 QX4 and they had the same color interior. The 2001 came with it's own cargo cover. I actually swapped them, since the 2000 was cleaner.
I sold the other one on ebay. I think I actually got more like $60 or $70 for it + shipping.
