s on your sub. If it's the stock sub you'll probably take a hit. If it were a sealed band pass box you would be fine. I think a ported sub would also be OK... Plus the stock sub is a single ten right? I'm not sure if it's powerful enough to overcome a wall.. Then again it could be fine and I'm talking out my but

I received the organizer today. Unfortunately it's not nearly as simple as sliding it in or drilling a bit -- there are a number of steps in the process, and it's dark out so installation may have to wait until the weekend when I'm home during the day (hate the fall light level). It doesn't look too hard, although the copy of the instructions is a little blurry so the diagrams are not particularly clear. We shall see. I'm not very mechanically inclined, but I can usually puzzle things out.

Overall, it definitely has a quality OEM feel. It's solid, and the top is the same quality carpet covering as the standard cargo mat. The dividers are equally solid. From the pictures I feared it might be flimsy or cheap. Far from it. I get the impression that once it's installed, it'll seem like it absolutely belongs there.

I will post more updates as I have them.

I do have a concern that this will make it exceedingly difficult to get at a spare tire, because I'll have to unscrew it and pull it out in order to get at the tire. Again.... we shall see.

I got one at my dealer for $135. Expected to just walk out with the box but the Service Manager asked "would you like us to install it?" They did so at no charge . (Typically fantastic Nissan of Keene [New Hampshire] service btw. What a great dealer!)

The unit fits beautifully. Very nicely made. No rattles. And, should greater depth be needed in the hatch it lifts right out. (Has too or you wouldn't be able to access the spare)

Any tools needed to remove the cargo organizer? How long will it take?

Finally had a chance to install the organizer. The diagrams on the instruction sheet were terrible, but once I went step-by-step, it was pretty clear. Took about 20 minutes in all. Do note that you need a 3/8" drill bit, which is pretty big: we had to borrow one. But not being particularly mechanically inclined or "handy" in anyway, it was an easy job. It looks great, and does not rattle. It leaves the side wells open, and only occupies the floor straight back from the seats.

To all the questions about model years, I have a 2007 and it installed fine -- so I'm reasonably sure it would fit in a 2008 as well (and it sells as an option with the 2009, so you're good there, too).

I do not have the subwoofer, so I can't say whether or not it fits around that option, either.

Obviously if you can get a good deal and get your dealer to install it for free, it's worthwhile -- but otherwise I wouldn't recommend paying for installation. If I can do it, anyone can!

Welcome back Kimber!

I’ve got pictures on my website of the Organizer with the factory Subwoofer in it and it fits fine. The Japanese version would not fit with the Sub in it but wasn’t a bad setup either.I just used velcro to attach it (to the mat) and it’s as solid as a rock so no drilling.

Thank you, thank you, there's no place like home

I'm going to try and subtly influence my sig fig to get me one for Christmas... so if I edit this post later... it's probably because I intend to "be reading over it" one night when he's over...

I have one on order from a nearby dealer ... dealers in Canada do not have it listed as a part they can order.

I'll be driving down to the USA and pick it up next week, and hope that I either get it installed or install it before I return in case of difficulties.

What is actually being drilled by the 3/8" bit? Plastic, metal? I'm only going to bring a minimum tool kit with me to cross the border.

Thanks.

Finally got the cargo organizer. It is well made and nice. But....... instuctions and diagrams are terrible. You are mostly on your own figuring this out.

OK I picked mine up today as well.

The diagram / instructions are not the best but, they are still quite easy to follow. The organizer itself is one piece, and the instructions tell you how to remove the trim to install the anchoring bolt/nut.

Really pretty easy, took me less than 15 minutes including drilling out the hole.

Anybody thinking about one, I'd recommend it from my experiences.

My only complaint is that they aren't available in Canada, and I had to make a road trip to Buffalo, New York to get mine.

Anyone got pictures of how to install cargo organizer? I mean where does it bolt into? What do you drill into?

The unit is one piece, and slides right into the hatchback compartment.

The steps are to remove the plastic moulding (two plastic pegs keep it in place) and then expand the existing mounting peg hole to 3/8". Hole is just under this size now.

A locking anchor bolt goes into the 3/8" hole, and then you put the plastic moulding back in place (one of the plastic pegs is no longer necessary) and then slide the unit into the trunk. A long knob/bolt attaches through the existing hole in the organizer and into the anchor bolt you install.

Simple and easy.

I would also like to see a picture of one of these in action because i think i may get one. Does the trunk mat still fit on top of it? I think it'd be more stealthy if it can be covered with the trunk mat
