Cargo cover question

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

The manual only shows how to stow it away, fold it etc. but doesnt really show why there is a folding extension/lip on it. Also there is a short strip of velcro on the lip, wonder what that is for?

I can only guess that the felt strip is to prevent the chrome handle from scuffing and also maybe to stop the flap from slapping against the handle while driving?? Only my uneducated guess..

You're right it was just a protector for the handle. I thought it was a velcro for soemthing.
