Cargo area protector

Got my Liquid Plat yesterday!!!!!! Yeah!!!!

Got a question w/ regards to the cargo area protector (that large plastic mat covering the cargo area. I see there are 2 about 1 inch sq holes (one on left one on right) on the protector. I thought the protector's for keeping the carpet clean from dirty & possibly some water from getting to the carpet. But w/ the holes there on the protector, the dirt and water will get straight to the carpet hence void-ing the purpose of the protector! I don't see what the need for those '1 inch sq holes' on the protector...do you guys have those holes / cut offs on the protector? I'm confused....

I think those 2 holes are so that you can attach the Cargo Organizer mentioned in this thread: zerothread?id=461772

(I think the Cargo Organizer clips on to the spare tire cover, underneath the Cargo Area Protector)

The holes are for the organizer brackets to pop up from. The organizer is a very nice item, I have it as well. It collapses flat, only takes a minute to remove it. Very handy.
