People don't mind spending thousands on a car but are reluctant to spend 20 to see if the car is good. doesn't anybody do visual inspections of cars anymore? check under the car to see if the frame is bent, make sure it has current inspection and registration tags, drive it and see if it runs ok, some mechanics will even inspect cars for you for free. if you're paranoid you could check all the VIN plates to see if they match and then ask to see the little old lady who only drove the car to church every sunday.

Haha! No doubt...I remember going to look at a 94 VW Golf a while back at a dealorship. It was lowered, had exhaust, intake, some other little goodies.... The guy tried to tell me that all 300,000 km's on it were all highway mileage!How the hell do you even put 300,000 km's on in 7 years anyways?!?!?!
