CARFAX.COM is still up and running. I think you made a mistake spelling the website. Replace the "g" with a "x".

No, it's really CARfaq.org ( http://www.carfaq.org/forum/ ) This site and CARfaq are my main sites for Infiniti info and general BS. The Ohmster (I call him "Ohmy") is the fellow who first (and only?) did the M '06 nav hack (here zer...dness ); he is the originator of the site-good guy. Hope all is well on his side.

Anyone got any word?

Just noted on the site that they will return "before Saturday." Whew, you apparently can get attached to your fellow Infinitians...

Now Nico don't disappear on me. I'm an old man, my heart couldn't take it.

are you trying to be funny with the carfag thing or do you just keep misspelling it? I'll check out the site once it goes back up.

Yeah, it's http://www.carfaq.org/forum/ for real. Apparently, according to the site owner, the name is not what you think..? They have been back up since Friday. A good site for Infiniti and other interests. No, not what you think...

Seems the site is down again. Anyone have any word on what's up/down? It's not been a very active site. But like this site-they are some good folks. The originator of the site ("The Ohmster") is the fellow who invented the first & DIY NavHack used by many herein. :frown:

This time it looks like Carfaq is really down for the count. Anyone have any info re same? It was a good site. The moderator (known as "The Ohmster") was the fellow who invented the first and widely disseminated nav hack for the M. As with this list, they were really good folks. I'll miss them... :frown:

+1
I agree with you, Doc. Ohmster's instructions and schematics were good enough that it gave me confidence to do the nav hack myself, before the plug in module was available and I had never undertaken something like that before. That's too bad that the site is shut down. I think Ilya has done a real good job at "stickying" the DIYs though, I was hoping more members who are doing mods would take the time to do a good DIY because even if it only helps one other person, or they can avoid stealership prices, that's a great thing.
