I think since NICO is such a big community and there are a lot of automotive companies on the forum we should have a classified section for careers and resumes. I have been looking for a career in the automotive industry for the past few months with no luck. So let me know what you guys and gals think, I have a degree in Automotive Industry Management and a minor in Business Administration as well as some Engineering.

This actually sounds like a pretty sweet idea. Not sure why we couldn't, but we'll see how it goes!

I'm surprised that there aren't more responses to this subject I would of thought there were more people looking to find a career out of College. People post your thoughts :poke:

It's probably because this is an enthusiast forum and not linkedin. :gotme

Enthusiast forum or not it is always good to have common ground when you are trying to get hired. With the amount of people on this forum it would be a good section to have in the classified, members that work in hr could hire off of our site and help the members out. I also know there are a few engineers on this forum that own there own aerospace companies. :thewave:

Good point...

For the time being, it's probably not a bad idea to GET on LinkedIn. I'm connected with a lot of folks in the industry, so feel free to add me.

I'll take this one under advisement... let me run it past the team. :)

We're actually in the process of consolidating a few forums, expanding a few others, and looking at doing something similar to this...

However, I think it'd be cool if we had an area where people could share their profiles (FB, G+, LinkedIn, etc). The whole "community" thing is HUGE, especially for professional networking, and this would give anyone interested an opportunity to populate their network with like-minded people... which, as you know, leads to the types of connections that make a difference in your future.

BTW, if anyone adds me on LinkedIn (or any other network), let me know who you are in your invite - it's hard to connect real names with screen names sometimes. :)

Ya I like the whole linkedin thing but to talk to some people it makes you upgrade your profile which costs cash and is not a plus lol.
