I have an 86 720 2wd that I bought from an old guy who let it sit for a long time, so I think it has rust in the gas tank. I've already replaced the pump and filter. Today I was in the drive thru at Burger King for ten minutes and the idle went bad. I made it out into the street before it died. I could start it back up, but could it only keep it going if I floored the gas. I don't know too much about cars and I can't afford to replace the carb, so I'm looking for any advice you could give me on adjusting/cleaning the carb or if you think it might be the vacuum tubes. well if you think its the tank... it is possible of course... take it apart and see what the condition of it is... there could be crap getting stuck in the lines for sure
