I can understand trying to conform to rules and regulations for racing, but what I can't understand is WHY rules won't change with the times. This goes for NASCAR too. Technology has made huge leaps and bounds within the auto industry. Fuel injection is WAY more efficient and in my opinion, easier to tune, with the right software of course. Why has NASCAR, among others, stayed with ancient technology, ie, cam in block, carburetors, etc? It also pains me a little that Toyota is running in Nascar now, but hopefully to prove a point that it doesn't have to be dominated by AMerican car companies. I think that if you want to race oval/dirt track, and the rules state you have to have a carb, then start with a car that already has a carb on it. Even with a 1990, you'd probably be one of the newer cars on the track. I say, don't take a step backwards in time and technology. This may all be heresay, but its my opinion...
