ok you may have seen my post on the nico page but i thought id put one here too!! my 84 720 4x4 has the stock hitatchi pos on it id like to put a webber on it and have been told that the 32/36 progressive would be best!! the question i have is would any old webber carb work? i know they make conversion kits specific to my motor but does it really matter where the carb came from? or what size?

thanks

i am not sure about most things to do with this truck, but i do know that you can not just use what ever. :-) lets say you got a large carb, it would be very difficult to get the engine to run correctly because it would trend to rich, the opposite effect if you get a carb to small.

I think webber has a chart. Or at least recommendations. Give them a call and see whats good. You never know but they may hook you up with a cheap rebuilt one or at least ask if there is a deal they can get you.

I have a 2.4l I think I was looking at a 38.
