IMO thats pointless, save the cash and buy a nice greddy or HKS intake system, Or get a custom 3 inch made, heres how myne turned out.

you could always by carbon fibre sheets and do it yourself, i have seen some things come out well when done properly.

nick, how is that HKS GT2530 turbo? how much power? what pressure? when does full boost hit? i know there are nice fairly bolt-on turbos like GT28R/RS and GT2871R, but i'm still searching for something that more closely resembles my ideal turbo.

are you asking about an intake for a motor you dont have?

I've seen one about once like a couple months ago. If I were you I would get an intake that I know will give me more performance and be reliable. I mean if your really serious about getting it and no one will change your mind them Ebay probably has like one selling each hour. BTW: Some one recommended the HKS intake and I HEARD that it doesn't perform so well because the filter is made of some weird foam and after awhile little chunks start falling off. Good luck with your search.

well i think it's pretty much two categories for filters: foam and paper. the foam ones are what i loved, but this is my first turbo car. i would simply guess than HKS and GReddy would know enough about turbo cars to not make an air filter that falls apart. the paper/gauze/whatever type need oil, which will foul the MAFS. i wouldn't get that kind.

oh, and while we're on the topic of intakes here . . . WTF is with intakes for SR's!? $300 for a KNOCK-OFF intake? WTF!? all i freaking want it something to get rid of that crappy rubber tube and i'm still even using a stock KA's airbox (well, the half of it that bolts to the MAFS) and filter. but i can't find a reasonable intake tube that goes from compressor inlet to MAFS and a MAFS adapter and a nice filter. if anybody knows who has something nice, point me that way. i know Enjuku has a decent kit for $180, but i'm not sure of the quality of the filter they use. i could just get a nice K&N or other filter (preferrably something w/o oil), but then i'm back up to $225 or something again, and tha's a heck of a lot for a damned intake.

i posted on another thread just like this. look for my group buy on zilvia. i do custom 2.5" polished aluminum intake pipes for t25's and 28's, for as low as $60 shipped. Comes with or without catch tank fittings and or/recirculation bung.

got mine done for 130$ CANADIAN its 3inch all the way to the turbo inlet. and with a HKS filter it costs 200$ canadian so thats like 150 american. And its 2 pices not welded togeather but held togeather with couplers, it gives it some flex. If you guys want i can get my buddie to make more, just cut up more piping and get couplers. It also comes with a 3 inch to 2 and a half reducer coupler so it fits on stock T25s. Let me guys know what you think!

Nick

P.S as far as the turbo goes its GREAT! Spools up really fast, makes full boost around 2800-2900 rpm. Power wise i have seen these things go as far up as 360-380 whp with cams. I am runing 10 PSI right now untill i build my head. RAS,head gasket, cams, Arp head stud kit and a nice hks oil cap If you want a quality quick spooling turbo and your focous is making alot low to mid-high power then this is for you. from what i have seen alot of guys who drift use this exact turbo and the GT28-RS because the make so much low end power, perfect for drifting. If you got anymore questions shoot away.

you really think it would make that much power? kinda seems nuts for a turbo that hits full boost before 3000rpm even. if it's true, then i need to know where i can get me one of these! for under $2k, that is.
