I have a carbon fiber hood on my s14 and i recently had it in the shop for a new clutch...anyways i get it back and it has huge cracks in it not, ones that were not in there before i took it. I just noticed it today and i got it back yesterday, i'm calling them tomorrow to ***** aobut it. Is there anyway that this can be fixed like at a body shop or is my hood ruined. Its only in the clear coat but the coat is pretty thick. And there are several cracks not just one, the biggest is over 12 inches long.

if the weave is not affected, it can be fixed. But the price that you're going to have to pay to get it fixed might as well add a little bit more and buy a new one

I kinda figured it will just be more worth while to replace than fix...lets see what they say when i talk to them tomorrow.

they probably let the hood DROP down onto the latch or whatever. thus causing enough shockwaves to crack the resin. i NEVER do that. i just set it down and click it in. (i hate it when people do that to MY car)
