sup, just wondering what you guys think would be marketable if made with true carbon fiber, (obviously hood) a friend of mine has everything needed to make some good carbon stuff, and has 15 years experience, so far my car is getting carbon fenders, hood, and trunk lid, guys have any other ideas?

the fenders would be nice because it would help with evening up the weight distribution, and Im sure it'd be kinda neat to have an entire carbon fiber front end with the exception of the air dam/bumper

I think it'd be kinda neat to skin my S13 in carbon fiber. hood, forn fenders, and doors...allong witht he plexi/acrilyc windows Im sure that'd be light as hell...
maybe some fibergalss GP motorpsots bodypeices, take out the seats and stuff(put in racing seats)...
But the problem you are going to run into is PRICE!!! This is going to be WAY out of the budget for the average Joe (me). Unless you can figure out a way to do it as a bolt on and less than a couple hundred bucks per panel.

This guy has 15 yrs experience doing what kind of carbon work? Are we talking wet layup? You do realize that you need to make a mold to shape the carbon...an aluminum mold made for a fender would have to be cnc'd and with that large of a part would prolly run about $5000 just to get the mold. Not to mention you would have to have the fender's exact details in a ProE or similiar prog so that the cnc machine gets the dimensions correct. Nobody wants carbon fiber parts that don't line up and are a poor fit.

i'd like a carbon fiber hood with vents that are closer to the windshield. i don't know if there are any out there but i haven't found them yet. i'd be intrested in buying something like that.
