Hey guys,

I've added so much weight to my car in the form of suspension components, that now I'm looking to lighten things up a little. For a while I've been searching for a carbon fiber hood for the I30's but I haven't found one; only for the maximas. Do any of you know where I might buy one?

If there isn't any place that makes them, I found a place that sells carbon fiber in 1 yard rolls for $60 each and I thought about just making a hood myself or having the body shop I use do it. Any thoughts on this?

I also wanted to make an OE style CF hood for my I30.

I would buy a roll of that CF and some epoxy (get a good one) and make a few small things first.

Also take into consideration that you will need in the neighborhood of 5-7 yards to produce a sturdy hood. And from my research companies like Seibon use huge vacuum bags with molds to make the hoods.
