150 is NOT the right price for shipping.... when i ordered my exhasut which was over 9 feet long box (extra charge since the box being so big) and 45 pounds heavy, it was from Florida to NY by UPS ground and it was $80... so I dont think 150 is anywhere correct since carbon fiber hoods are about 15 pounds i think

and they only have to ship it from north to south cali. the cover car on import tuner was like a candy red s14 with a painted carbon fiber hood and it looked sick. i do plan on painting my hood though, it looks a lot better, btw, as my car is getting painted, it looks sick as well, should have pics up by the end of the day

i sent an email to them asking why it is so expensive to ship, but another place was 125, both times they were flat rates to anywhere...

I know that isn't that easy to find body shops that will paint carbon fiber hoods, but then again, when you did find someone to do it, they charge extra because of the hassle!

Here in a couple of weeks I'll be able to show you mine. Since my car is white, a non-painted CF hood would look really gay. The reason shipping is so high, is because of the shape, its really awkard to handle.

Oh, and I got mine from VIS Racing, $650 shipped. GREAT Quality. Some things, you just can't go cheap on.

Hey,I went to UPS with just the raw dimensions of the hoodwhich is approximately 58" x 53" . I tried plugging those numbers into a UPS GROUND order. I got an error "package exceeds the maximum size total constraints of 130 inches(length + girth, where girth is 2x width plus 2x length". So I bet the dimensions of this hood limit the shippingcarriers to Over the road" trucking companies.I found a link for getting quotes on Freight.http://www.americanfreightcompanies.com/I requested a freight quote on a 15lb hood. The dimensions I gave were 60"x55"x 4" high .I requested the price of shipping the hood fromLos Angeles to San Jose. This should give us a good idea.I'm guessing it will be way less than the $150.I will let you know when I get the quote I will post the results. Thanks,BobRobert A. Fagan
