carbon fiber hood!

well there isnt one yet, but i got good news! i spoke to an old friends f mine today about possibly fabricating parts for the versa and he gave me great hopes.....he said he is mainly interested in making a carbon fiber hood but is willing to make side skirts, spoiler, and lip kit for us.....well theres a catch, lol, he wants to know how many people would be interested in buying one.....im going to meet up with him in an hour so he can render a design of the hood.....let me know what u guys think.....btw, this guy is a well known wide body kit fabricator....he has done many cars and work with fiberglass and carbon fiber

i also wanted to know who would like to buy a pair of eyelids for there car....i talked to him about that too and he said to get peeps opinion on that....ill post up some pics of the idea i had....which some of u have seen already

lol....well im workin on those too....i purchased some beautiful wheels but they stick out too much so i need flares too because i noticed they rubbed.....but the thing is that with four door cars its a little harder to do so....im trying to see if i can get some off of another four door that might have some out already and just modifying them or else there is another option, you can roll your fender....its a method which involves pullin ur fender out and making it seem wider body....but there is a risk, u can crack ur paint which means u would have to repaint the entire quarter panel

I can, but not for the same reasons as some. I would end up hving said hood painted to match the car.

Carbon fiber looks ricey as hell. bit it's also very light. Solution? paint it.

Seibon is already making a Hood and Tail Gate for the Versa and I should have them in about six weeks. There web site is http://www.seiboncarbon.com/default.asp

While I was there giving them a new Factory Steel Hood and Tail Gate assy as there mold they had a VW of some sorts that was white with the Carbon Fiber Hood and Tail Gate and I must admit it didn't look to shabby and I am not one that cares for the CF look.

But as stated by EV it saves a lot of weight and you can paint them, so when I get them in I will take photo's of it in CF and when painted.
