You can put normal glass in a C.F. hatch, but most of the weight of the hatch comes from the glass so it almost pointless...

Make sure when you start buying carbon fiber body panels, you get them all from the same manufacturer... Otherwise, the weave might not match and it'll look like a**

I had a question about this since I was interested but have only seen them in pictures. is the whole thing actually carbon fiber? or is it carbon fiber skin over stock steal framing? when I see hoods and hatches they seem to have the original framing on the underneath side, and I can't tell if that's carbon or just steel that's had the outer skin replaced by carbon.

also does anyone have any experience drilling holes in carbon fiber? none of the pieces I've seen seem to have a whole for the rear wiper, and to me that thing is a little important.

Most people don't want it.... Once you're moving, it's really not needed. Especially if you use rain-x or a good wax.

well I'm not most people I guess. cause I want it there. it's more than just rain though, I like it to be there for when I use the rear washer, and in the winter it helps with getting snow/frost cleared up faster(at least I think so).

It's expensive and pointless unless you are building a purpose built race car... which you wouldn't be using a 240 for anyways. It's pretty ugly when it's only one body panel too.

If you insist on doing it, do it right. Plexiglass is the way to go. If the rear wiper is that important to you, just keep the stock hatch. Drilling a hole for the motor probably isn't the best idea. It might leak or something.
