Hey Nico,

We got 5 suprise Cwings Carbon Fiber Hatches today in stock. We weren't expecting them for about 3-4 weeks, so I wanted to make them available to you first. Unfortunately, GTP has only given me two days to sell these five before they offer them to the public. So, if you are intersted, you need to act immediately.

GTP is selling them for $649

We are giving NICO members an additional 10% off, which brings the cost to $584.99.

Shipping is a flat rate of $120 in the continental USA. If you live in the LA area, then pickup is free!!!

You probably first saw the hatch on McKinney Motorsports' drag car. The hatches have been revised and the fitment is near perfect. Everything lines up and there are even holes for the factory wiring to run through. It is an excellent copy in Carbon Fiber.

Here's the link to GTP's website where you can view pics of the hatch. http://www.importfan.com/produ...=6146

How much do you think some Lexan glass replacement would cost for it. I don't need just think it may be a good idea.

McKinney is working on a Lexan Replacment window. I talked with Mac from McKinney yesterday and he is estimating the cost of the replacment window at $350.

So, not a bad deal overall!

I've seen Mack's car in person. The fitment on the hatch is nice. I didn't like how the lexan wasn't curved and had some gaps up top but if it was still a work in progress than that explains it. I'd definately pimp it.

Hopefully McKinney will post on here with their guestimates on the weight....

I would guess that it weights about 10-15 lbs. without glass. I was at their shop over the weekend while on a business trip, and I drove their demo car. The hatches are awesome and I think that you would be very satisfied with one.

Take care!

Let me get this straight. So can you use the stock glass with the CF hatch or do you have to get the Lexan replacement?

Hey Man,

You can use the stock glass, however that would defeat the purpose. It would be better to have a custom fitted window installed, I think you would get a better seal.

We are going to have to do some adjustments on the pricing, as it is not being looked at favorably that we are selling for a discounted margin by the manufacturer.

I think the hatches made by GTP/Cwings are awesome.....

That's a great question. I would expect the CF doors to be released before the pillars.

The pillars would be harder to produce, and that's something I don't see coming out for quite awhile.

Thanks for your question.
