Universal shouldn't be in that sentence as they are probably all custom like most CF stuff is.

I'm sorry. I think my ears were ringing. Did you just say universal? Dude. Do what everybody else in this thread is saying. Build one yourself. Nobody makes "universal" carbon fiber dashes. And if they do, they probably don't fit properly or are of poor quality. I think your best bet would be to make one yourself.

I'm not sure who has a dashboard but you may consider something like this:

Does it really matter? It will crack like every other dash on a 240. It's just the law.

Jeff it wasn't meant to look pretty in our case, we just wanted to save weight by using fiberglass instead of the factory one, and plus i didn't feel right putting holes in the factory one to mount gauges or whatever else.

If you take your time, it will come out tons better.

isn't a CB dashboard dangerous? on the street? I guess if it looks cool and gets you the pu_ssy doesn't matter. Even the sunvisor will split your face in two. so i say go for it!

Hey guys. I posted a thread a about manufacturing Carbon Dashes. I am currently working on this. I will get this available as soon as possible. This is a very tough project to do but I know that nothing is impossible. So be patient and carbon dashes with or with out gauge pods will be available soon. Here is the thread.

I've had this same project going on for awhile. I'm in the final layup stages with mine.... but I made mine to fit the skyline R33 gauge cluster so it wouldn't work very well for other people. It's not very plausible to mold one with the way the fasteners are designed. Best thing would be to restyle yours however you want it then fiberglass over it. When your done just remove the fiberglass from the old dashboard and add fasteners. I think the dash will be about 5 pounds of resin and fiberglass.

i wasnt talking down on your dash in any way just to let you know. i dunno if i could do any better. i understand about not wanting to cut into a good dash though.

No Problem, I didn't think you were. The whole car wasn't really meant to be pretty. Its not a street car, Just a race car. We were going for weight savings not looks. I'm just saying it can be done. And with patience probably look tons better than mine. we sanded it down, and painted it and it looks pretty legit.
