ok so i re did my search on this topic and read the info ive gathered on the threads. i would just like somebody to confirm some things for me.

1; plug the purge and vaccum lines, right?

2;put a filter on the vapor line,right?

3;leave the vent line from the bottom of the canister that draws freash air in open? or do i plug it up?

4; this will not affect cars operation, correct? it just frees up space?

thanks for any info and sorry to beat this thread to death!

i havent removed mine so i dont know what to plug and what to filter, but all it does is use vapors from the gas tank and burn them in the engine. it will not affect the operation, just free up space.

ya i believe its cap the vaccum and purge lines but its the vapor line im confused on. basically i want to free up space to put my battery on the drvrs side so i can run my intake on the passenger side away from the exhaust. unfortunatly there are no write ups on that. so i have to search and ask about each individual piece i have to remove or relocate

240kid: thanks for the confirmation about the side effects on operation. thats half the answers im looking for

ok so i went and removed the canister and it was pretty easy. i plugged purge and vaccum lines and the vapor line based on nistechs answer of you can plug it because the gas cap has a 2way valve(other thread) any more input from guys who have done this(plugged the vapor line) would be great, for confirmation.
