Carbon Canister question

I believe this is the carbon canister, correct me if im wrong

Noticed a hose not connected to the canister, I believe it goes into the bottom connection but im not sure

Heres a pic, held the camera by the wheel so the the hose looks like its on the opposite side. the hose with the arrow coming from it is attached to the underside of the radiator support bar i believe its called and goes toward the outside of the vehicle on the drivers side

UI can't tell much form the pic but it sounds liek the carbon canister, and that hose at the bottom is just the drain tube, son't sweat it

alright so that tube does not need to be connected? it can just sit there?
