is it possible? a few of my friends were talking about it and thought instead of pulling out the ecu harness and going standalone why not just use a carb setup? spark can still be mechanical and it dosn't matter what the ecu reads because technically theres nothing there to control(maf,o2,and injectors). the only issue i face is getting big enough jets to supply the fuel. if there is any point that needs to be addressed please feel free to let me know. i am contemplating tring this.

OK, so I just found this searching for ITB's.....No you can't do this. How many carbureted engines do you know of that use throttle bodies...The point of the throttle body is to let in air because the fuel is delivered directly into the mani runners via the injectors. A carb lets in both fuel and air....why would you put a throttle body after or before one??? A throttle body would be a completely pointless restriction. Find me a carbureted vehicle with a throttle body...then bring up this topic.

Sure it's possible. You can use 4 individual Weber carbs. You'll also need a special mechanical ignition distributor.

Ken, the term Throttle Body came from carbs man. Its exactly the piece you would expect it to be, and every carb has one.

OP could have worded his post better, but his point was still pretty clear.

Sure you can run carbs, you could even run motorcycle ITB/carbs with bigger jets and be able to do this. A lot of work however, and i think fuel injection isnt that hard but meh, to each their own.

i dont see the point in putting a carb on an already fuel injected car, there is a reason that they are gone(they suck).

I'm going strictly by his words, he wants an itb carb set-up.No **** that a carb has a butterfly valve that's linked to the throttle and lets in air. Thing is, it's integrated into the carb...what are you going to do take it out? The reason a carb and a throttle body are called different things is because they are. The carb controls both fuel and air, while a tb controls just air. It's like asking if you can do a MAP MAF set-up....if you want real answers learn to describe what you mean.Of course you can do an individual carb set-up, that's nothing new.Why tho? Fuel injection provides the ability for better gas mileage and overall power. There are some efficient carbs out there, and you can get easy power from them, but in the end fuel injection is more efficient.
