im having issues with my 85 720 carb like the accelerator pump may be going out. it bogs bad when letting out the clutch. Im tempted to just do a full carb swap maybe to a weber but what kind of conversions will i need to make it work and what carbs seem to work best

Welcome. You need to read some posts on this site. A lot of guys has asked the same question. All the information is there, smog concerns, which is the best carb to use etc., so take a look and help your self.
