Would the dual side draft carbs on my S30 be able to be put on a 521 pickup if the pickup had a dual carb manifold?

Yeah, Jerry and I were wondering if it'd work. Cause if I get rid of the duals for triples, I'd give the duals to use.

the 521 I assume has a L20B? yes you're L24 SU's will work but you'll need the propper L20B intake manifold, I think the trucks all came with downdraft carbs

No the 521 has a L16, would it make any difference if it wasn' the L20?

Wouldn't it be over-carburated then if you're using carbs from a 2400 on a 1600?

I don't think so, plus the SU's are adjustable too.

my main point was that I know there are su manifolds availble for the L4 engines, the later CA's and KA's I don't think so, and yes you can get SU's in varying sizes as well but they tend to support a broader range then say webber DCOE's, tuning either is something of a clack art, the su's it comes down to filinf your needls, on DCOE's it comes down to propper chock, air bleed, and jet, this is why I run megasquirt, injection is so much simpler

back on point, the 2 su's should work ok on the L16, worst case scenario you could get some smaler SU's from an MG

I have a buddy here in town with a 70 Datsun Pickup, dont remember the model, but it had an L20 that had dual SU's on it.
