carb news: not good

I just heard the news this morning and was wondering if anyone heard the same.

Basically, CARB will set up sniffer on SO-CAL on ramp and will take pics of any gross polluters. If you get caught, you have to get it fix or CARB will pay to take your car off the road. This will start next year 2006 in Orange, LA, San Bernardino, and posibly Riverside.

That'd have to be one very carefully placed "Sniffer".

Couldn't you just figure out where they're going to put it and angle your exhaust away from the thing?

It would be pretty hard for them to do that... and they'd have a lot more tickets than they probably except, just because a car doesn't have an engine swap doesn't mean it would pass.. plenty of cars run like crap and put out pollutants in the air.. it's retarded.. who cares about the damn ozone. :P
