I was thinking last night (crazy I know) and I came up with a kinda original (prolly not, but humor me) idea for a cool s13.

I just bought an s13 and I previously owned a old VW. People on the VW forums are getting into putting ITB's (carbs) on the VW 16V engine and dropping them in older rabbits and whatnot.

Take the KA engine, carb it, Header, lumpy cams, MSD ign, exhaust, etc... then for a nice kick in the pants put a 150shot progressive controlled N2o kit on it.

I was browsing around the net last night and saw some site's (i forget who) KA NA project hitting 200hp with basic junk like intake, exhaust, MSD and UD pulleys. That's kinda what spurred my imagination.

Would look something like this:

Course that's not a KA engine but you get the general idea. And guess what? There's NO turbo! <gasp>

Opinons??

The only kit I found was Miluni carbs for the KA24-E.

I was wondering if there is one for the KA24-DE?

Does your friend have the DE? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you could find out where he got it and post it up for me.

I tried numerous searches and came up with nada.

Ive heard of the one NAsport did, but the idle was at like 3000 rpms and completely non-streetable. Try a search on google or something for NAsport.

The KA begs for boost more than high revving NA power IMO. I'm not saying it won't make power, but to me it makes more sense to go with a properly sized turbo setup rather than try to wring out power at atmospheric pressure.

I looked at the NA sport kit and it is SOHC only. :(

I realize that boost is "faster" but I'm looking to maybe do a progressive control high hp shot N2o setup. The carb thing was a neat add-on idea.
