So a couple months ago I did the carb canister delete. Today is the first time it has leaked from the gas cap (also the second or third time its been this hot with a full tank). I checked the filter I used to do the bypass and its bone dry. Obviously it's not venting. I'm about to reinstall the carb canister with new lines and all and I hope that takes care of the problem ($10 in hoses and clamps are better than $15 of fuel on the ground). I just hope I don't have to replace the line from the tank to the carb canister. Has anyone else had this issue in the delete/bypass? If so, what did you do to take care of the issue (while potentially keeping the extra crap out of there).

The line from the tank is a vent, the charcoal is to filter out any flammable fuel vapor. When deleting the canister most people simply leave the vent line open to atmosphere, this is how I've done it a few times. you said something about a filter? Did you put a filter on the end of the fuel line? if so it shouldn't be an issue and not a bad idea. If you are leaking fuel from around the gas cap on turns might I suggest you replace the gas cap as the seal on the cap is likely the cause of the problem. If you have fuel leaking out from the fill neck when you open the cap then you have a clogged or kinked vent line.

I placed the filter on the vent line from the tank itself. It leaks from the gas cap when sitting for a couple minutes. Otherwise I have to drive it under heavy load to drop the fuel pressure down.
