Timing is fully advanced, anything less pretty much wont run.replaced spark plugs 2 weeks ago checked one today had yellowish build up and black around the top of the threads already. Pretty much has no top end powerFires right up in the morning and when i leave work to go home.Recently did a timing kit replacement. I'm guessing i didn't put the oil pump and distributor exactly back in the right position. need to jump a gear with the oil pump and distributor? any other ideas?

its a SOHC

As long as the distributor is set right as is fits into the oil pump gear youll be fine. So maybe you put it in backwards or something. Set the timing back to normal and go from there.

Where is your igntition control module becuase they are known to cause hard starts when warm.

I have the same problem and for me, the car clicks and no-crank. at first i thought it was the battery, but after trying a couple of times it starts right up. i think definitely a sensor or such is disabling the starting system.

Anybody else had this problem?

Any ideas.
