:frown: Okay so i rebuilt my engine , and i made sure my timing was correct. i dropped my engine in and connected everything correctly. After everything was connected i tried to start the car and it started for a few seconds and turned off. So I adjusted the distribuator and tried again but nothing. I checked if it had spark and it didnt so i changed the coil and distriburator cap,and rotor. It gave me spark but the car still wont turn on. Theres gas, air and it cranks but wont turn on.

You might be a tooth off with the distributor. Can you verify the rotor is pointing to the #1 plug wire when you're at TDC on the compression stroke on cylinder 1?

I checked the timing on the chain and somehow the lower chain had skipped three links and thats why it wont turn on

Well if you've rotated the engine pretty much at all, the marks on the chain will no longer match up with the marks on the sprockets. You basically have to set the engine to TDC and then just look at the cams. They should be pointing between 9 and 10 o clock on the intake side, and 2 and 3 o clock on the exhaust side for cylinder # 1.
