i have a 2004 g35 rear wheel drive. my sunroof was open and it started to rain, i put the key to the on position (with out starting the car) closed the sunroof turned the car off. half an hour later i went to start the car but wouldnt start, no dash lights were operating, radio, windows, no engine turn over. found ignition switch fuse blown which is a combination fuse. the ignition fuse was a 40amp. checked all the other fuses that was connected to the circuit and they were all in good condition. Checked the harness everything is fine installed another fuse and it blew again. car had previous command start with previous owner, i own the car now without the command start but the wiring is probably still in the system. the battery is also brand new. would the command start wiring cause the problem? ideas, thoughts. thanks.

I'm not familiar with command start... but it wouldn't surprise me if your problem isn't in that area, especially if it's a type of theft deterrent. How much water got in to the car before you got the roof closed?

The 40A fuse is huge... there's a major short to ground to take something like that out. I'm thinking you have water that got somewhere it shouldn't.
