If the engine cranks, but will not start. Try the flooded engine procedure from pg 5-11 of your owners manual:
If the engine is very hard to start because it is flooded, depress the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and hold it.
Crank the engine for 5 - 6 seconds.
After cranking the engine, release the accelerator pedal.
Crank the engine with your foot off the accelerator pedal by turning the ignition switch to START.
Release the ignition switch when the engine starts.

If the engine starts, but fails to run, repeat the above procedure.

CAUTION
Do not operate the starter for more than 15 seconds at a time. If the engine does not start, turn the ignition switch
off and wait 10 seconds before cranking again, otherwise the starter could be damaged.

How did I flood the engine? With gasoline?

Yes. If the engine does not start on the first or second attempt, it will flood the cylinders with fuel making it impossible to start.

By pressing the accelerator as described above, the ECU senses you are trying to clear a flooded engine and will cut off the fuel. After a couple of tries, the excess fuel will pump out and the engine can be started again normally.

Could it be the spark plug that cause the failure to start?

Stop busting your balls and torturing yourself. Use the 36month/36,000 warranty coverage! :poke:

Yah, it came when you purchased your vehicle. If your car won't start, the dealership will fix it for free. Drop it off, get a free rental. Bada-bing Bada Boom. Problem solved.

At least that is what I would do.

Oh I forgot, I would use my AAA card to get a tow trck driver to drop my car off at the dealership.

I get free towing from triple A but you could get the dealer to arrange something since its under warranty.

Actually this happened with my maxima. It would not start. So I had triple A tow it to the dealership. But I had to pay for the repair since it was out of warranty. Moreover, it was an ignition problem which I had to replace.

:eek
